February 7th & 8th, 2026
QUEER BADMINTON TOURNAMENT

 

 

 

Come & join us in February 2026 in Geneva in Switzerland for the second edition of the Bad'Ass Open, a fun and inclusive badminton tournament.

Our rules are different: there are no fixed pairs. You can register as an individual, whatever your level. We will create the pairs that will participate to the tournament.

Our objective is to encourage new connections and have fun, but also play badminton seriously. This is why you will be paired with someone sharing your level.

We are working hard on preparing great activities for the tournament. For now, what we can say is that we encourage you to arrive on Friday, February 6th and leave on Sunday, February 8th. The tournament will take place on Saturday, February 7th, 2026.

Tournament rules: 
 

Phase 1: Singles matches to 11 points against random opponents, on half court. These matches help assess skill levels.

Phase 2: Pairs will be mixed and created based on observed levels. Gender and gender expression are not considered in pair selection.

Phase 3: Doubles matchs. Each pair plays 4 matches against others. Best of 2 sets to 21 points, win by 2.

Phase 4: Final rankings followed by quarters, semis, and finals.


Organizers may adjust categories or pairings to ensure balance.
